Year 7, 8 and 9

At Moor Park High School and Sixth Form students in year 7-9 can enjoy learning Art, Dance, Drama, Music and PE in an interesting and imaginative way. All subjects are taught by specialist teachers who are passionate about creating a professional performance atmosphere and this enthusiasm captures the interest of students which in turn engages and inspires students of all abilities.   Students’ will develop confidence, presentation and team work skills as well as independence, organisation and self-management skills across all subjects within the Faculty.

In addition to the curriculum the Expressive Arts Faculty offers the opportunity for students to be enriched through numerous clubs being offered at lunch time and afterschool. Students have the opportunity to showcase their performance talent at concerts and tournament and are encouraged to represent the school in sports teams, in public performances and competitions.  Students also have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument and are offered tuition delivered by experienced and qualified teachers. Instrumentalists are encouraged to take additional exams from The Rock School and other exam bodies.

Year 10 and Year 11

This new course allows you to learn about various music products, develop valuable skills and techniques in music creation, performance and production, and explore potential careers in the industry. The qualification builds on learning from Key Stage 3 and provides a good introduction for post-16 education.
