School Meals and Cashless Catering

Cashless System

The school operates a cashless dining system offering many benefits for both pupils and parents.

Payment into the system can be made either by cheque, made payable to Lancashire County Council, and dropped off at main school reception or by pupils putting cash into the ‘Revaluation Machines’ that have been installed in school. If paying by cheque, the pupil’s full name, 4 digit pin number and form must be written on the envelope or the back of cheque to ensure the correct account receives the credit.

All cheques should be enclosed in an envelope.

School Meals

Catering is provided by Lancashire County Council who work on a 3 week menu cycle which is changed every term. However please note that many additional items are added to the daily menu.

Whilst every effort is made to produce the published menus, please note that they may vary occasionally subject to availability and individual school requirements. All our menus are checked using a recognised programme to analyse nutrition. We also work with Lancashire Healthy Schools and support the Change 4 Life campaign. The result is a menu your child will enjoy and that will prepare them for learning in the afternoon.

Wherever possible Lancashire County Council buy local produce to support local businesses and reduce food miles. Halal meat is also available for pupils and is clearly marked.

Free School Meals are available to the value of £2.40.

‘Meal Deals’ are only £2.40 and include a main meal and a choice of a dessert, fruit, yoghurt or Juicy Water.

All food is prepared on the premises using fresh ingredients.
