In February, a group of Year 9 pupils from Moor Park took part in the BAE Systems ‘Make It’ Challenge for schools, held at Ribby Hall.
The competition task was to design, build and market an “Unmanned Remote Emergency Vehicle”. Each team could choose a location in the world for the vehicle to be deployed, and also the kind of terrain the vehicle should be used for.
Once the “design and build” aspect of the task had been completed, each team had to present a two minute “pitch” to a panel of potential purchasing customers from the Joint Emergency Council.
The Moor Park team worked hard throughout the day and managed to complete the task. The judges commended our pupils for a well-rehearsed and organised presentation and also on their overall teamwork.
Well done to all of the pupils who took part.
