Harris Museum

In November, Miss Davies and the English faculty took their Year Nine students to the Harris Museum in Preston to experience life in the Victorian era. Whilst at the museum, the students had to find answers to a set of questions based around the 1800s and link these to the pre-twentieth century novel ‘Oliver twist’ by Charles Dickens – which they are studying in English. The students gained an invaluable insight into how life was very different to what they know today. The exhibitions were especially valuable as it showed life in Preston, which is where many of our students grew up. Well done Year 9, you were fantastic!
