Moor Park Pupils were a big hit with TV stars from The Apprentice when they demonstrated their business skills at the Preston Guild Youth Enterprise event. Over 2 – 4 July, Moor Park’s Young Chamber pupils, along with pupils from local primary and secondary schools, occupied retail units in Preston’s Guild Hall Arcade, selling a range of products from t-shirts and cake stands to original art work.
The event, which was formally opened by Preston’s Guild Mayor and Mayoress, was organised by Miss Bailey, Senior Learning Manager for ICT and Business & Enterprise. Special guests at the event were Jenna Whittingham and Azhar Siddique, contestants from The Apprentice, and they were both highly impressed with Moor Park’s young entrepreneurs. Jenna said she was “blown away” by the quality and variety of the business enterprises on display. The event was the culmination of a lot of hard work by everyone involved and was a tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of Preston’s young people in this Guild year.
