This week we have hosted a range of visitors from other schools. It is always interesting to get feedback on our school and it was great to note how positive our visitors were about our school culture, the behaviour of our young people and the morale and positivity of our staff body. I am very proud of how much we have achieved in the last two years. The fact that we are so open and that we have so many visitors is a testament to the outward looking culture that we have created.

We now have a new challenge and that is how we improve classroom practice to ensure that there is even more consistency of quality, wherever our young people go. You can only do this work in a healthy school culture and it is crucial that we get used to giving and receiving feedback. To use a rather clumsy metaphor, we have built an impressive racing car, we now need to fine tune the engine.
