During the final two weeks of term we hosted a range of fundraising events to help support the Guide Dogs ‘Move it for Money’ initiative. Staff and students managed to raise £150 which is a fantastic achievement.
One of the fund raising events students took part in was the blind obstacle course, this was a chance for students to experience life without sight and take on tasks where sight is taken for granted. Students paid £1 each to work in pairs guiding their blind partner through an obstacle course to see if they could be as efficient as one of the many dogs working tirelessly as a guide dog in the UK.
A special thanks goes to Miss McGrath for organising all of the fundraising events.
