Moor Park has received kind salutations from a family in Wales after they discovered the remains of a balloon which had been released as part of our recent centenary celebration.
On 19 April the school released one hundred balloons to mark exactly one hundred years of continuous educational provision at the school site.
The Hill family contacted us to say they had been walking in the Black Mountains in south-east Wales, part of the Brecon Beacons National Park, and discovered part of a centenary balloon close to the Grwyne Fawr Reservoir.
As well as informing us where they had discovered the balloon, they also said: “We wanted to send our congratulations on your 100 years!”
Everyone at Moor Park was delighted to hear about the balloon’s final destination and would like to thank the Hill family for their kind words.
